Monica McAfee has filled the role of chief marketing and innovation officer at John Knox Village of Florida, but in a short time, she has overseen massive improvements and expansion at the 70-acre campus. 

She manages all sales, marketing and programming for John Knox Village and has been a major part of the organization’s $150 million expansion, which includes the addition of two apartment towers and 146 luxury residents that are already 80% pre-sold. 

During McAfee’s time with John Knox Village, its skilled nursing center, The Woodlands, has become the only facility of its kind in Florida to use the Green House care model. This philosophy prioritizes core values in support of meaningful life and staff empowerment. Part of this effort is illustrated by the addition of facilities for campus events, recreation and cultural programs at John Knox Village.She also has increased the organization census and strategic partnerships and expanded efforts to promote diversity and inclusivity

Her crowning achievement, however, is her part in establishing the JKV Center for Health Living. This state-of-the-art medical practice opened in May 2022 and provides health and wellness services to more than 1,000 residents, 800 staff members and community partners.

Outside of her contributions at JKV, she has been named one of Florida’s top philanthropists.
