Delivering Solutions 23 is the new name of the American Health Care Association’s annual conference and expo, which will run Oct. 1-4 in Denver.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders, gain valuable insights from informative sessions, and celebrate excellence in the long-term, post-acute and assisted living sectors. Events will be held at the Colorado Convention Center.
Organizers said the new meeting name reflects its mission of “improving the quality of life for residents in long-term care and assisted living facilities.” A wide variety of educational sessions, keynote addresses, interactive exhibits and award ceremonies will give attendees information to improve the long-term and post-acute care industry’s “quality, efficiency and effectiveness,” according to organizers.
Part of the meeting’s changes include the merging of the traditional Sunday welcome reception and last-night gala into one big “Mile High Jamboree” event with food and drinks the night of Tuesday (Oct. 3).
Another highlight will be the new Elevating Excellence “all-inclusive” awards ceremony, which will take place late Tuesday afternoon. Recipients of the group’s 2023 National Quality Award Program, as well as other AHCA/NCAL Awards winners will be recognized.
Peter Sheahan, founder and group CEO of the Karrikins Group, will be the opening general session keynote speaker that Monday morning. Internationally known for his presentations, he has advised business leaders on several continents and was named one of the 25 Most Influential Speakers in the World by the National Speakers Association. He is also the youngest person ever to be inducted into the group’s industry Hall of Fame.
The closing keynote motivational speaker on Wednesday will be Alton Fitzgerald White, the singing, dancing, acting star of six “smash Broadway hits,” and numerous television roles, according to organizers. Most recently, he has authored “MY PRIDE: Mastering Life’s Daily Performance,” an inspirational biography “filled with secrets to fulfillment and joy in work and life,” published by Disney Editions. In addition, he will be featured in four upcoming films.
